Raspberry's name was reverted back to "Raspberry Tart", and shs is once again a main cast member. She was still portrayed as being fairly close friends with Lemon Meringue, due to both of them having a love of fashion and creativity. Unlike her previous incarnations, this Raspberry was much nicer. Raspberry was a talented fashion designer who owned and operated the Fresh Fashions boutique in Berry Bitty City. Raspberry Torte, undergoing yet another drastic character overhaul, was now much more feminine compared to her prior tomboy characterization in the 2003 series. Raspberry returned for Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures as a part of the main cast. Like her previous incarnation, Raspberry Torte had a bit of a mean streak, but would grow nicer as the series progressed. Her house was partially a gym, though it was only seen once. Raspberry was now a tomboyish athlete who lived over in Raspberry Meadows. Her name was changed to "Raspberry Torte", and her character was given a drastic overhaul. Raspberry first appeared in the episodes of Berry Blossom Festival from Season 3 alongside her best friend Lemon Meringue. She spoke with a quiet tone and lived with Apple Dumplin'. She was mean at first but learned to become nicer to others in the end. Banana Twirl's hairstyle during the end credits makes her resemble the current rendition of Lemon Meringue.Raspberry Tart debuted in the very first Strawberry Shortcake special, The World of Strawberry Shortcake.The 1980s Banana Twirl may have been the inspiration to the current Plum Puddin', along with Lime Chiffon.She is close friends with Tangerina Torta and Lemon Meringue.The elephant's name, unfortunately, is unknown. Given the character line-up presumed by the known pets in the picture, it is reasonable to assume that the elephant was meant to be a pet for Banana Twirl. Baby versions of Custard, Cheesecake, Marmalade, Frappe", Marsh Mallard, Elderberry, Melonie Belle, and an as-yet-unseen yellow elephant. A Kenner prototype picture exists of a series of baby pets, evidently intended for an expanded line of drink-and-wet Strawberry Shortcake baby dolls that never went into production. Her pet in both generations is unknown.In a toy package illustration, she has the 80s/90s big side ponytail. She also has a blue denim mechanic's uniform and a baby blue apron with a banana on it when she works at the cafe. She wears a chic pink scarf over a plain white tee and yellow leggings underneath her pink banana print skirt. Her eyes, when up close are revealed to be ivy-green.īanana Candy has long light golden brown curly hair with lots of blonde highlights, and she wears a yellow cap with a pink ribbon. Her pigtails were held with green bows and she had a white sweatband around her head. While not too many official pictures were released, in the final special her common attire was revealed to be a white blouse with elbow sleeves, a gold skirt, pale yellow and white striped pantyhose, gold leg warmers, and dark green ballerina slippers. She takes a trip with them and becomes their friend. She starts off trying everything in her power to make them stay but learns to let the girls leave. As well as governing Banana Boro, she also is a skilled mechanic. ![]() She is healthy and fit and tends to move around quite a lot.īanana Candy is still an energetic girl but now is the mayor of her own town. ![]() Like Lime Chiffon, most of her movement and thought processes are about exercise and action. ![]() She seems to be skilled in engineering as well as several other jobs she learned to do in her town. Instead of being the energetic girl she was before, she is now the Mayor of her own town Banana Boro. Her outfit and personality had changed drastically. In 2007, she was reintroduced as Banana Candy. She appeared scarcely in merchandise and made small appearances throughout the final Strawberry Shortcake Meets the Berrykins Special, which is noteworthy with fans of the series. During the 1980's Banana Twirl was one of the final friends befriended by Strawberry Shortcake during its initial run in the '80s.
